Our recipes call for a multidimensional and multifunctioning skin care routine. Our aim is to provide a range that caters for ALL SKIN TYPES in one bottle. This is possible with the use of HEMP SEED OIL, NATIVE BOTANICALS and a wide range of VITAMINS & MINERALS. By encouraging our skin to do its own job and regulate its own oil production, we see amazing results for ALL SKIN TYPES. i.e.: if you have oily skin, our products will help reduce oil production, and if you have dry skin, our products will help increase your oil production.

What is HEMP SEED OIL?

We utilize NZ grown HEMP SEED OIL.

Hemp Seed Oil is nature’s most perfectly balanced plant oil because it has a very healthy 3:1 ratio of Omega 6 to Omega 3

Hempseed oil is often referred to as “hemp oil,” and it’s harvested by cold-pressing hemp seeds. Hemp oil is often unrefined. It’s a clear green oil and can have a nutty flavour.

 

What does Non-Comedogenic mean?

Ranked by how likely it is that any specific ingredients, such as oils and butters used in cosmetic product formulation, will clog pores. Anyone who is susceptible to acne breakouts and blackheads should avoid highly comedogenic oils, as they are likely to cause recurring acne problems. The scale uses a numbering system of 0 to 5. 0, will not clog pores, through to 5, high likelihood of cogging pores. Hemp oil has a rating of 0.

HEMP SEED OIL & ANTIOXIDANTS?

HEMP SEED OIL is derived from the hemp seed. The oil is rich in essential fatty acids and antioxidants that may help fight inflammation and other ailments associated with it.

HEMP SEED OIL examples a huge range of skin-nurturing antioxidants. What makes antioxidants so important to skin health is the way they help prevent damage from the sun’s UV radiation, as well as other oxidative damage. The green pigment in hemp seed oil is from the small amounts of chlorophyll naturally present in the skins of the seeds.  The oil has a strong but pleasant "sweet grass" aroma.

I have really Dry & Sensitive skin, which products should I use?

We recommend using the Refresh Toner & Hemp Serum Combo. Using a cleanser can sometimes strip too much oil from our already dry and sensitive skin. You can use your HEMP SERUM as an OIL CLEANSER and avoid stressing your skin out too much while still getting a squeaky clean and refreshing surface to play with.

How does HEMP SEED OIL benefit your skin?

There are several skin care benefits that you can get from using hempseed oil, either topically or by consuming it.

Moderates oil production

Hemp oil is perfect for most skin types as it can moisturize without clogging your pores. It can even help to balance out oily skin, hydrating it and regulating the skin’s oil production.

Dryness can also cause your skin to overproduce oil, which in turn, can stimulate acne. HEMP SEED OIL can prevent dry skin without clogging pores. This helps reduce acne that’s caused by excess oil.

This giant black fern is native to New Zealand and protects native forests from water loss.

Mānuka

Very similar to Kānuka.

Mānuka can improve your skins appearance. It can balance your skins pH level and help slough away dead cell debris to keep your skin clean. Pōhutukawa

Pōhutukawa conditions the skin. The bioactive extract from the flowers of New Zealand’s iconic Pōhutukawa is conditioning, deeply moisturizing, antioxidant-packed and antiseptic. It also promotes cell regeneration and soft, youthful skin.

In traditional Māori herbal medicine or Rongoā, Pōhutukawa was used topically for wounds and

abrasions. The bark contains Ellagic Acid which has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.

 

Harakeke

Harakeke (also known as New Zealand flax) is a luxurious botanical moisturizer packed with linoleic acid, which boosts the skin's barrier layer helping to seal in natural moisture.

Harakeke is renowned for the clear polysaccharide gel exudate produced on the surface of leaves at the base of plant. The mild astringency of this gel helps control oil overproduction, which makes it an effective defence against breakouts. It naturally soothes, hydrates and cools, reducing puffiness and redness.

Kōwhai

The Kōwhai is known for its high antioxidant bioactivity. With its natural antimicrobial properties, the Kōwhai extract helps calm and condition the skin. Kōwhai is used topically in traditional Māori herbal medicine or for itchy skin complaints, abrasions as well as musculoskeletal aches and pains.

Tōtara

More than three times stronger than Vitamin E, Tōtara extract is a force to be reckoned with. Its powerful antioxidant properties neutralize free radicals linked to skin ageing. In other words, it slows down the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, and spots.

Tōtara was used topically in traditional Māori herbal medicine for infectious skin conditions and to help promote hair growth.

How Long Does the Serum Last ?

Typically, 3-4 drops used once daily, will last around 3-4 months. If you use this product 3 times daily, let’s say morning and night and as an oil cleanser it will last 4-6 weeks.
